Warranty & Support

Emoko e-bike frames are covered by a 2-year warranty. This warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labour charges are not included, and any labour must be performed by an authorised Emoko distributor.

Emoko batteries are covered by a 1 year prorated warranty. Batteries can be assessed and found defective only by Emoko directly.

Original Emoko parts & components are covered by a one-year limited warranty (when any spare parts for the warranty are sent to the customer, the customer needs to bear the freight costs).

Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised modifications. Common wear items such as brake pads, tyres and chains are not typically covered, as expected with regular use.

Warranty cover does not include wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, neglect, water ingress, parts compromised due to corrosion due to the elements (moisture, heat, etc), or issues resulting from unauthorised modification.

Defects or damage resulting from any of the following are not covered by warranty: accident, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or other similar activities not consistent with the intended use of the products), improper storage, abnormal exposure to liquid, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, neglect, abnormal physical, electrical or electromechanical stress, scratches, dents, cosmetic damage not caused by Emoko; external causes such as collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuse, or improper use of any electrical source; improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment in a manner that varies from Assembly Instructions & Owners Manual.

Parts not typically covered include, but are not limited to:

Additionally, any defects or damage caused by improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair or adjustment, in a manner that varies from the Assembly Instructions & Owners Manual, are not covered.

Delivery & Timing

Bikes are usually delivered to most UK mainland addresses within 3-7 working days of order placement. Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland and Channel Islands may take longer and incur additional shipping fees.

Bikes are delivered around 80% assembled, with only minor assembly required from the customer (instructions provided with the bike).

Orders are processed within 1–2 working days before dispatch. Delivery times may be slightly longer for made-to-order or fully built options.

What's the Difference Between the Single Motor and Dual Motor C93?

Each of the C93's motors, when derestricted, has a 1000W power output. This means that the dual motor C93 provides more power and torque for climbing steep hills etc, than the single motor version. However, this additional power means extra battery drain, giving the dual motor C93 a slightly lower range than the single motor version.

UK Road Use & Legal Information

This model is supplied in a restricted configuration, with motor assistance limited to 250W and assistance cutting off at 15.5 mph.

However, due to its underlying motor capability, the possible inclusion of a throttle, and/or the ability to unlock higher power or speed settings, this model should not be assumed to meet the UK’s Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) classification.

Where a bike does not meet EAPC requirements, it may be treated as a motor vehicle under UK law.

This can require registration, insurance, and the appropriate licence for use on public roads. This type of model is typically chosen by riders looking for more flexibility or performance than standard EAPC bikes offer. It should be used on private land (with permission), or only where full legal compliance for public-road use has been ensured.

Returns & Delivery

Order Confirmation

As soon as you place your order, we will pre-authorise your card, however your card will not be charged. We will then contact our supplier to confirm that the product you have purchased is available for shipment.

Once confirmed, we will process the payment and your order will be dispatched as soon as it is ready. If there is any delay such as an item which is on backorder, we will void the pre-authorisation and contact you to let you know.

Order Delivery

Once your order has been placed, assuming it is in stock and available for dispatch, we will charge your card and your order will be dispatched. Orders to mainland UK are typically processed within 1-2 working days and delivered within 3-7 working days, but may be slightly longer for items for which customisation and/or White Glove Delivery service is involved - please see the estimated processing and delivery time provided on the relevant product page for specific details.

Where dispatch to UK destinations outside of mainland UK is available, delivery may be subject to extra charges and longer delivery times.

We’ll send you tracking details by email within 24 hours of your order being dispatched. If you have not received tracking details within 6 working days, please reach out to us via email at orders@chilledrides.co.uk so that we can help.

Damages

We kindly ask that you carefully inspect all items upon delivery, even if you don't intend to use your item immediately. If any items appear damaged, please email clear photos and/or videos within 48 hours of receipt of your order to info@chilledrides.co.uk so we can assess the situation and provide guidance on the best next steps.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods in their original condition before filing a claim.

Missed Deliveries

After placing your order, once your item is prepared for dispatch, we or the relevant courier company will contact you via email, phone or SMS with tracking details and/or to arrange a convenient delivery slot. Please ensure that someone is available at the designated delivery address to sign for the package and let us and the courier know as soon as possible if you need to change the delivery date or time slot.

Once a delivery slot has been set, we cannot guarantee that it can be changed if adequate notice is not provided. Please Note: for any failed deliveries which require a new delivery date/time to be arranged, you will be responsible for paying the redelivery charge (typically around £70 for e-bike deliveries to mainland UK).

Cancellations & Refunds

If you decide to cancel your order and your item has already been dispatched, you will be responsible for any return shipping costs. Refunds will only be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase.



Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not, we offer a simple and transparent return process.

Total Return Window: 28 Days

You have 28 days from the day you receive your item to complete the return process. Here’s how it works:

  • 14 Days to Request a Return
    You have 14 days from receiving your item to contact us and request a return. To initiate a return, please reach out via returns@chilledrides.co.uk.
  • 14 Days to Return the Item
    If your return request is approved, you have an additional 14 days to return the item to us. We’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, in its original condition, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or damaged.

You are responsible for the cost of returning items, including shipping and any associated fees. Please make sure to send the return to the address we provide when you submit your return request. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service or courier for the return, and kindly email us the tracking number. We are not liable for any items lost in transit. Your refund will be processed within 10 business days of us receiving the returned item.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at returns@chilledrides.co.uk

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. 

Any claims for damages or discrepancies must be submitted within 48 hours of receipt of your goods and we request images and/or videos of the damage for our records. Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalised items) and hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please bear in mind it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund as well.

Welcome to ChilledRides.co.uk, the UK home for electric bikes and electric scooters. Our journey began with a simple mission: to bring top-quality, eco-friendly rides to UK enthusiasts at competitive prices, supported by caring, friendly and professional pre-sale and after-sale support.
 

Our Story

It all started with a long weekend in Lisbon with a couple of friends. We wanted to make the most of our 3 days there, so as part of our stay, our friends Neil and Laura suggested a bike tour of the oldest part of the city, Alfama. But not only is Alfama the oldest and possibly most beautiful part of Lisbon, it's also the hilliest...

So, instead of a traditional bike tour, they booked us an e-bike tour! For my wife and me, this was our very first time riding an electric bike - and we loved it. Effortlessly peddling up steep hills and being able to enjoy the panoramic views at the top without having to bust a gut to get there was a unique and amazing feeling.

As soon as we got back home to the UK, we knew we wanted to spread the word to the whole country...we had become e-bike evangelists!

After 20 years working in telecoms and software sales, and seeing how technology paired with excellent customer service can be used as a force for good, I founded Chilled Rides to help the planet move towards a greener future and help people of all ages and abilities become more active and have fun at the same time.

I have a teenage daughter of my own and I want to make the world a better place for her and future generations.
