Useful to know
Green Commute Initiative Scheme Details
Green Commute Initiative is a not-for-profit Cycle to Work provider. It allows eligible employees to spread the cost of a bike and cycling equipment through salary sacrifice.
GCI says employees can typically save between 28% and 47%, depending on their tax rate, with salary sacrifice periods ranging from 3 to 60 months.
One of our preferred schemes
GCI charges retailers a low 5% commission, which is much lower than many other providers. That makes it one of the better-value schemes for customers and retailers.
No standard £1,000 limit
GCI is known for supporting higher-value packages, making it a strong option for e-bikes, cargo bikes and specialist cycles.
No sting-in-the-tail ownership fee
GCI promotes no ownership fees. If you keep the bike to the end of the free extended loan period, GCI says the ownership transfer charge is just £1.
Choosing your e-bike
Not Sure Which E-Bike to Choose?
GCI can be a particularly good fit for e-bikes because it does not work around a standard £1,000 limit and can support a wide range of cycle types.
Before requesting a quote, think about your commute, storage space, hills, range needs and whether you need practical features such as mudguards, lights or a rear rack.
