Road use restricted ↓
This model is supplied restricted to 250W and 15.5mph (25km/h), which is why many retailers describe bikes like this as road legal when kept restricted. However, the Department for Transport takes a stricter view of e-bikes that can also be configured to provide assistance above the EAPC limits, and how this applies can depend on the bike's configuration. We therefore recommend reading our UK E-Bike Road Use Guide before using it on public roads.
🔧 Bike setup & first ride Some final setup may be needed before your first ride.
How your bike arrives varies by brand and delivery method.
If it arrives boxed or partially assembled, any remaining assembly, adjustment and safety checks need to be completed correctly before you ride it. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your bike.
If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself, we strongly recommend asking a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably trained cycle professional to help.
You're responsible for making sure the bike is correctly assembled and safe to ride before first use. Problems caused or contributed to by incorrect assembly, adjustment or missed safety checks may not be covered as product faults.
If your bike arrives fully assembled, we still recommend giving it a quick check on arrival in case anything has moved during transit.

✔ Better than most for: long riding days, repeated short trips and staying comfortable on broken roads
✖ Trade-off: dual batteries and fat tyres add bulk, so it is not a nimble lightweight commuter

Delivery & Timing
Delivery & Timing
Bikes are usually delivered to most UK mainland addresses within 3–7 working days of order placement. Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland and the Channel Islands may take longer and may incur additional shipping fees.
Unless otherwise stated, bikes are delivered boxed and around 80% assembled. Some final assembly, adjustment and safety checks will therefore be needed before your first ride. Depending on the model, this may include fitting or checking the handlebars, stem, pedals or wheels, checking tyre seating and pressures, adjusting brakes and gears, and checking spokes, fasteners and other safety-critical components.
Please follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your bike and make sure everything is correctly assembled, adjusted and secure before riding. If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself, we strongly recommend asking a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably trained cycle professional to help.
Orders are processed within 1–2 working days before dispatch. Delivery times may be slightly longer for made-to-order, fully built or other specialist delivery options.

Delivery & Returns
Straightforward information about delivery times, tracking, receiving your bike, Pre-Built Delivery, cancellations and returns.
What happens after you order?
From checkout to dispatch.
Delivery times
When to expect your order.
Most in-stock orders to mainland UK addresses are delivered within 3–7 working days.
Delivery can take longer for made-to-order bikes, customisation, Pre-Built Delivery or other specialist delivery arrangements.
The individual product page should always be your first reference for model-specific delivery information.
Where delivery is available to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, islands or other non-mainland locations, additional charges and longer delivery times may apply.
Pre-Built Delivery
Available for selected bikes and locations.
Some bikes may be available with a Pre-Built Delivery or other specialist delivery service.
Where offered, this reduces the amount of setup required when your bike arrives and can include professional preparation before handover.
Availability varies by model, supplier and delivery area, so please check the relevant product page for the options available on your bike.
If standard boxed delivery is used, the product page will explain what setup you should expect.
When your order arrives
A few useful checks when taking delivery.
Please inspect the package and item when it arrives, even if you don't plan to use it immediately.
If you notice visible damage, photograph or video the affected area and the packaging before disposing of anything.
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible — ideally within 48 hours — as prompt reporting makes courier and damage investigations much easier.
Delivery appointments & missed deliveries
Please let us know quickly if your plans change.
Depending on the courier and product, you may receive tracking details and/or be contacted to arrange a delivery slot.
Please make sure someone is available where a signature or attended delivery is required.
If you need to change an agreed delivery date or time, let us or the courier know as early as possible.
If a delivery fails because nobody is available after an agreed slot, the courier may charge for another delivery attempt. Where applicable, the reasonable redelivery charge may need to be passed on to you, and we'll explain this before rebooking wherever possible.
Tracking your order
We'll keep you updated once your order is on the move.
Tracking information is normally sent once your order has been dispatched and the courier has generated the relevant tracking details.
Tracking can sometimes take a little while to become active after the first notification.
If you haven't received any dispatch or tracking information within 6 working days, please contact us and we'll check the order for you.
Email: orders@chilledrides.co.uk
Cancellations & returns
If you change your mind, please contact us as soon as possible. If your order hasn't yet been dispatched, we will normally be able to stop it before delivery.
For most online purchases, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. Once you've notified us that you wish to cancel, you then normally have a further 14 days to return them. Exceptions can apply to certain products and circumstances.
For a change-of-mind return, you will normally be responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless we've agreed otherwise. Large items such as e-bikes can be expensive to transport, so please contact us before arranging a return.
If an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, different rights and arrangements apply and you should contact us so we can agree the appropriate next step.
Please don't send an item back without contacting us first. We'll provide the correct return instructions and address for your particular order.
See our full Return Policy for the detailed return conditions and process.
Refunds
Once a valid return has been received and assessed, we'll process any refund due back to the original payment method unless another method has been expressly agreed.
For statutory distance-sale cancellations, we do not deduct a payment or merchant-processing fee simply for issuing the refund.
Where permitted by law, deductions may apply in circumstances such as excessive handling which has reduced the value of the goods, or where the customer chose a more expensive delivery service than our standard option.
Banks and payment providers can take additional time to show the refund after it has been processed by us.
Need help with a delivery or return?
Send us your order number and a brief description of what you need help with and we'll point you in the right direction.

Returns Policy
Returns Policy
Returns & Refunds Policy
Clear information about changing your mind, returning an order, reporting damaged or faulty goods and how refunds are handled. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Changing your mind
For most goods bought online, you have a legal right to cancel the purchase without giving a reason.
In most cases, you need to tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after the day you receive the goods. If an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the relevant cancellation period may run from receipt of the final item.
Once you've told us that you are cancelling, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back.
You don't need to give us a reason
You're welcome to tell us why you're returning something — the feedback can be useful — but you don't need to provide a reason in order to exercise a statutory cancellation right.
Checking the product & condition of returns
You're entitled to inspect and handle the goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning — broadly, in the way you might reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop.
Opening the packaging and carrying out reasonable inspection does not automatically prevent a change-of-mind return.
Where this happens, any deduction will be based on the actual reduction in value rather than an automatic restocking charge. Depending on the condition and extent of use, that deduction may be substantial.
Who pays for return transport?
Change-of-mind returns
For a change-of-mind cancellation, you're normally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods to the return location we provide, unless we've expressly agreed to cover that cost.
E-bikes and other large items cannot normally be returned using an ordinary postal service.
For most e-bike collections from mainland UK addresses, return courier costs are typically around £50–£100.
The exact cost can vary depending on the bike, packaged size, collection location and courier required. If a return is likely to cost more than the typical range above, we'll tell you the applicable cost before arranging collection.
If you arrange your own return, you're responsible for making sure the goods are securely packaged and returned using a suitable service. We strongly recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured courier and retaining proof of dispatch.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Where goods are genuinely faulty, damaged or otherwise do not conform to the contract and Chilled Rides is responsible for the remedy, you won't be expected to bear the reasonable necessary return, collection or repair costs that the law requires us to cover.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Change-of-mind returns and faulty-goods rights are different. If you believe there is a fault, delivery damage or you've received the wrong item, please contact us so that we can investigate and agree the appropriate next step.
Damage noticed on delivery
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. If you notice damage, take clear photographs or video of the product and packaging and keep the packaging while we investigate.
We ask customers to report visible delivery damage ideally within 48 hours, because prompt reporting makes courier claims and investigations much easier.
Your rights if goods are faulty
Goods sold by Chilled Rides must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described.
Where goods do not meet those requirements, UK consumer law provides remedies which can include rejection and refund, repair, replacement, price reduction or a final right to reject depending on the circumstances and when the problem arises.
The Consumer Rights Act provides a short-term right to reject qualifying faulty goods, normally lasting 30 days. After that, repair or replacement will often be the first appropriate remedy, subject to the circumstances and your statutory rights.
For more detail about diagnosis, repairs and warranty support, please see our Warranty, Repairs & Aftercare Policy .
Items with different cancellation rules
The statutory right to cancel does not apply to every type of online purchase. Relevant exceptions can include goods which are made to your specifications or clearly personalised.
Where an item genuinely falls within one of the statutory exceptions, we'll make that clear where relevant before purchase.
Sale and discounted items
Sale, promotional and discounted goods have the same statutory consumer rights as full-price goods. A product being discounted does not by itself remove your online cancellation rights or your rights if the goods are faulty.
Gift cards
Our discretionary change-of-mind return arrangements do not generally apply to gift cards, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Lithium batteries and other restricted items
E-bike batteries and some other products are subject to carrier rules for transport. This does not by itself remove any return right, but it can affect how the product must be packaged and transported.
Please contact us before attempting to return a lithium battery so that an appropriate transport method can be agreed.
How refunds work
For a valid statutory change-of-mind cancellation, we'll refund the sums due using the same payment method you used for the original transaction unless you expressly agree to another method.
We will not charge a payment-processing, card or merchant fee simply for providing a statutory cancellation refund.
When will my refund be processed?
Where you've returned goods following a cancellation, we may wait until we've received them back or you've supplied evidence that you've sent them, whichever happens first.
Any refund legally due will be made without undue delay and within the applicable statutory deadline.
For a standard sales return where we have not offered to collect the goods, this is normally no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or receive evidence that you've sent them back, whichever is earlier.
We aim to process refunds sooner wherever possible. Your bank, card issuer or payment provider may then take additional time to show the funds in your account.
Original delivery charges
Where the statutory cancellation rules require it, we'll also refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered for the order.
If you chose an enhanced or more expensive delivery service, we do not have to refund the additional amount above the cost of our standard delivery.
Where standard delivery was free, there is no standard delivery charge to refund.
Deductions for diminished value
Where permitted by law, we may make a proportionate deduction if your handling or use of the goods went beyond what was necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning and this resulted in a genuine reduction in value.
For an e-bike, relevant factors can include mileage, outdoor use, tyre or brake wear, cosmetic marks, dirt, modifications, missing items or damage.
Any deduction will be based on the actual loss in value rather than an automatic restocking or administration fee.
Finance & Cycle to Work purchases
If your order was purchased using finance, instalments or a Cycle to Work scheme, please contact us before returning the item.
Refunds and cancellations may need to be processed through the relevant finance or scheme provider rather than paid directly to you. Their process does not remove any statutory rights that apply to the goods.
How to request a return
Exchanges
If you'd prefer a different product, the simplest option is normally to return the original item in accordance with this policy and place a separate order for the replacement.
If there's a fault and replacement is the appropriate statutory remedy, we'll deal with that as part of the fault process rather than treating it as a standard change-of-mind exchange.
Cancelling before or after dispatch
If you'd like to cancel an order before dispatch, contact us as soon as possible. If we can stop the shipment, we'll do so.
If the order has already been dispatched, you can still exercise any applicable cancellation rights, but the goods may need to complete delivery and then be returned in accordance with this policy.
Optional cancellation form
You don't have to use a particular form to cancel. A clear email or other statement telling us that you wish to cancel is enough.
If you prefer, you can use the following wording:
To: SD Retail Group Ltd t/a Chilled Rides
Email: returns@chilledrides.co.uk
I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the sale of the following goods:
________________________________________
Ordered on / received on: ________________________________________
Name: ________________________________________
Address: ________________________________________
Order number: ________________________________________
Signature (only if submitted on paper): ________________________________________
Date: ________________________________________
Your statutory rights
This policy is intended to explain our returns process in plain English. It does not exclude, restrict or replace any rights you have under UK consumer law.
If anything in this policy conflicts with a mandatory statutory right, the statutory right takes precedence.
Need to arrange a return?
Send us your order number and let us know whether you've changed your mind or there's a problem with the item. We'll explain the appropriate next step.

About Us
About Us
From the Founder
Like many of our customers, I wasn't always an e-bike rider myself. In fact, the idea for Chilled Rides started with a long weekend in Lisbon with my wife and a couple of friends, and an unexpected introduction to electric bikes.
We wanted to make the most of our three days there, so our friends Neil and Laura suggested a bike tour of Alfama, the oldest part of the city.
There was just one problem: Alfama is also incredibly hilly.
Instead of a traditional bike tour, they booked us onto an e-bike tour. It was my first time riding an electric bike, and my wife and I absolutely loved it. Suddenly the hills weren't something to dread. We could focus on the views, explore more of the city and just enjoy the experience instead of worrying about how much energy we had left.
When we got back to the UK, we couldn't stop talking about it. The more we learned about e-bikes, the more we realised how many people were missing out on something that could genuinely improve the way they travel and spend their free time. They make cycling more accessible, help people tackle longer journeys with confidence and make getting outdoors more enjoyable.
That eventually led to the creation of Chilled Rides.
What started as a memorable weekend in Lisbon has grown into a business built around helping people find the right e-bike, understand their options and discover for themselves what made us fall in love with e-bikes in the first place.

Our Vision
We believe e-bikes have the power to make everyday life a little better.
They can help people get around more easily, spend less time sitting in traffic, enjoy the outdoors more often and stay active for longer. For a lot of riders, they bring back the simple enjoyment of cycling without some of the barriers that put people off traditional bikes.
At Chilled Rides, our vision is to make choosing and owning an e-bike as straightforward as possible. By providing clear information, honest guidance and practical tools, we want more people to feel confident making the switch and seeing what an e-bike can do for them.
And perhaps most importantly, we think life is just that much better when people can chill out every now and then, enjoy the journey and have a little more fun along the way.
Why Choose Us
Buying an e-bike should be exciting, not confusing.
At Chilled Rides, we're here to help you find the right bike for your needs with clear information, honest advice and practical guidance. Whether you're comparing different models, trying to understand UK road-use rules or just working out which bike is right for your lifestyle, we believe you should have the information you need to make a confident decision.
We've invested heavily in tools and resources designed to make choosing an e-bike easier, including our Bike Finder, real-world range estimates and straightforward product information. We focus on being transparent about what each bike is designed for, who it's best suited to and what you can realistically expect from it.
We're not interested in pushing people towards the most expensive option or making exaggerated claims. Our goal is simple: help you find an e-bike you'll genuinely enjoy riding and feel good about owning for years to come.
Who's Behind Chilled Rides?
Hi, I'm Steve, founder of Chilled Rides.
Before starting Chilled Rides, I spent more than 20 years working in telecoms and software, helping customers navigate complex technology purchases. That experience taught me the importance of clear information, honest advice and great customer service — principles that still guide everything we do today.
I have a teenage daughter, and like most parents I want her to grow up in a world that's a little cleaner, healthier and less dependent on cars. While e-bikes won't solve every problem, I genuinely believe they can help more people choose an enjoyable and practical alternative for everyday journeys.
My goal with Chilled Rides is simple: make it easier for people to find the right e-bike for their needs, understand their options and buy with confidence.
