Could your employer help you spread the cost? Cycle to Work

Many UK employees can get an e-bike through a Cycle to Work scheme, spreading the cost through payroll and potentially saving on tax and National Insurance.

Not sure if your employer offers one? It may be worth asking HR — many people are eligible without realising.

🔧 Bike setup & first ride Boxed delivery — some final assembly and safety checks needed.

Your bike will arrive boxed and approximately 80% assembled. Some final assembly, adjustment and safety checks will be needed before your first ride.

Depending on the model, this may include fitting or checking the handlebars, stem, pedals or wheels, checking tyre seating and pressures, adjusting brakes and gears, and checking other safety-critical components.

Please follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your bike and make sure all required assembly, adjustments and safety checks have been completed correctly before riding.

If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself, we recommend asking a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably trained cycle professional to help.

You're responsible for making sure the bike is correctly assembled and safe to ride before first use. Problems caused or contributed to by incorrect assembly, adjustment or missed safety checks may not be covered as product faults.

Is this right for you?
✔ Stands out for: One versatile bike for weekday journeys and weekend adventures beyond the tarmac
✔ Better than most for: Riders mixing roads, towpaths and easy woodland trails who prefer a comfortable, upright position
✖ Trade-off: At around 22kg, it’s not ideal for frequent lifting or demanding technical mountain-bike trails

A HYBRID WITH PURPOSEFUL COMPONENTS

What are you actually paying for?

The Thor earns its place through practical, identifiable parts and genuine road-to-trail versatility — not exaggerated motor claims or mountain-bike styling alone.

A suspension fork for roads and rougher paths

The lockable RST fork helps take the edge off broken tarmac and maintained tracks. You can firm it up for smoother stretches, while the 27.5 × 2.35-inch Maxxis tyres offer useful mixed-surface grip.

Components you can name, not just admire

Logan hydraulic disc brakes, a Bafang colour display and SRAM gearing give you meaningful specifications to assess. They're better evidence of the bike's everyday usability than vague promises of 'premium performance'.

A battery choice that suits your riding

Choose the 378Wh (10.5Ah) battery for shorter, familiar routes or invest £200 more in 504Wh (14Ah) for extra energy in reserve. That's roughly 33% more nominal capacity — not a promise of 33% more miles.

Warranty & Support

All E-Movement electric bikes are for personal enjoyment only and not for commercial use.

If you use them for commercial purposes, like making deliveries, without informing us and purchasing a special warranty package, your warranty will be void.

🛠️ Warranty cover

  • Frame: 4 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first.
  • Electrical components: 1 year or 5000 miles, whichever comes first (for e-bikes under £1,000, six months or 3000 miles).

Battery cover: 1 year

What’s covered: E-Movement will replace any component that is deemed to be defective or damaged, and not as a result of user error, including damage incurred during shipment.

💬 How support works

Support: Handled via our UK support team in partnership with the manufacturer.

If you need support, contact us with your order number and details of the issue. We’ll review the problem and guide you through the next steps. Proof of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product are required with any warranty request.

Repair method: Coordinated from the UK by our support team.

Where possible, issues are resolved through troubleshooting or replacement parts before recommending more involved repairs.

⚠️ What’s not covered

Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised modifications. Common wear items such as brake pads, tyres, chains and accessories are not typically covered, as expected with regular use.

For full details, please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

View full terms & exclusions

The warranty is void in following cases.

  • The product is not cared for in accordance to the Care and Maintenance guidelines on the E-Movement website.
  • The product has any water ingress into electronic parts. For example, from a pressure washer, riding in puddles etc.
  • The product has not been maintained, such as unchanged punctures, riding with loose/missing parts or not cleaning/lubricating your product periodically.
  • Misuse of the product.
  • Damage due to application of excessive force on threads, bolts and joints etc.
  • Service or modification of the e-bike by anyone other than an authorised partner.
  • Modification of the product, including changing/tampering with the factory settings on the display metre.

🔧 Assembly, servicing & aftercare

If your bike arrives boxed or partially assembled, any remaining assembly, adjustment and safety checks need to be completed correctly before you ride it. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your bike.

If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself, we strongly recommend using a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably trained cycle professional.

You're responsible for making sure the bike is correctly assembled and safe to ride before first use, as well as for routine servicing, adjustment and maintenance. Problems caused or contributed to by incorrect assembly, setup, misuse, wear or inadequate maintenance may not be covered as product faults.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to genuinely faulty goods.

Delivery & Timing

Bikes are usually delivered to most UK mainland addresses within 3–7 working days of order placement. Northern Ireland, Northern Scotland and the Channel Islands may take longer and may incur additional shipping fees.

Bikes are delivered boxed and around 80% assembled. Some final assembly, adjustment and safety checks will therefore be needed before your first ride. Depending on the model, this may include fitting or checking the handlebars, stem, pedals or wheels, checking tyre seating and pressures, adjusting brakes and gears, and checking spokes, fasteners and other safety-critical components.

Please follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your bike and make sure everything is correctly assembled, adjusted and secure before riding. If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself, we recommend asking a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably trained cycle professional to help.

Orders are processed within 1–2 working days before dispatch. Delivery times may be slightly longer for made-to-order, fully built or other specialist delivery options.

Returns & Refunds

We offer 28-day returns, subject to our returns policy. If you wish to return your bike, please contact us first so we can explain the process and any applicable return transport arrangements.

If an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
