Could your employer help you spread the cost?
Cycle to Work
Many UK employees can get an e-bike through a Cycle to Work scheme, spreading the cost through payroll and potentially saving on tax and National Insurance.
Not sure if your employer offers one? It may be worth asking HR — many people are eligible without realising.

🔧 Bike setup & first ride
Setup depends on your chosen delivery option.
Dawes, Falcon and Claud Butler e-bikes have two delivery options.
The setup required depends on which one you've selected.
Standard Tracked Delivery:
Your bike arrives boxed and approximately 85% assembled.
You'll need to complete the remaining setup, adjustments and
safety checks before your first ride.
White Glove Delivery:
Your bike is professionally assembled and given a full
pre-delivery inspection (PDI) before being repackaged in a box
for safe transport. Only minor finishing steps should be needed
on arrival, such as aligning the handlebars, fitting a pedal
or adjusting the saddle height, depending on the model.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for any remaining
assembly, adjustments and safety checks appropriate to your
delivery option. Make sure everything is secure before riding.
If you're not confident carrying out the required steps,
we recommend asking a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably
trained cycle professional to help.
Problems caused or contributed to by incorrect assembly,
adjustment or missed safety checks may not be covered
as product faults.

Description
The Falcon Liberty Crossbar is a straightforward, well-equipped electric hybrid for commuting, shopping and weekend rides. Its traditional steel crossbar frame offers a familiar riding position, while 700c wheels, 45mm tyres and an adjustable handlebar stem make it a practical choice for everyday journeys on roads and firm cycle paths.
A Motinova rear-hub motor delivers up to 35Nm of assistance through five selectable modes, supported by seven-speed gearing with a Shimano Tourney rear derailleur and L-TWOO trigger shifter. The integrated, key-lockable 368Wh battery is removable for indoor charging, with a full recharge taking approximately five hours. Falcon quotes up to 40 miles of assistance; our conservative planning estimate is around 26–34 miles depending on hills, rider weight, weather and assistance level.
The Liberty comes with a rear pannier rack, full-length mudguards and a bell, so it is ready to carry the essentials without buying every accessory separately. Ergonomic grips, a Selle Mio saddle and mechanical disc brakes complete a sensible specification. Its steel frame and rigid fork make it a sturdier, more road-oriented option rather than a lightweight or suspension-equipped trail bike; if you regularly tackle demanding hills or rough tracks, a more specialised e-bike may be a better fit.

Assembly, servicing & aftercare
If your bike arrives boxed or partially assembled, any remaining
assembly, adjustment and safety checks need to be completed correctly
before you ride it. Please follow the manufacturer's instructions
supplied with your bike.
If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself,
we strongly recommend using a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably
trained cycle professional.
You're responsible for making sure the bike is correctly assembled
and safe to ride before first use, as well as for routine servicing,
adjustment and maintenance. Problems caused or contributed to by
incorrect assembly, setup, misuse, wear or inadequate maintenance
may not be covered as product faults.
This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to genuinely
faulty goods.
Dawes, Falcon and Claud Butler e-bikes are normally delivered to UK mainland addresses within 2–5 working days. Bikes arrive boxed and approximately 85% assembled. You'll need to complete the remaining setup and carry out the final safety checks before your first ride, following the manufacturer's instructions.
White Glove Delivery
With White Glove Delivery, your bike receives a full pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and is professionally assembled before dispatch. It is then carefully repackaged for transport, with only minor adjustments needed on arrival.
Please allow approximately 5–7 working days for White Glove Delivery, depending on workshop availability.
