WHY THIS MODEL COSTS MORE
What are you actually paying for?
The CarbonLite is not about paying for the longest range or the most complicated specification.
Its appeal is a rarer combination in a folding e-bike: low weight, substantial mid-drive assistance
and a cleaner drive system that makes daily ownership less of a chore.
01
Carbon engineering you notice when you lift it
The extensive carbon-fibre construction, including the wheels, helps keep the stated bike weight to just 14kg.
That matters when you're folding it away, loading it into a car or motorhome,
or moving it through a home where every kilogram counts.
02
Hill assistance that responds to you
A Star Union mid-drive motor with up to 75Nm of stated torque provides substantial assistance
when climbing or setting off. Its torque sensor responds to how firmly you pedal,
helping the bike feel more intuitive than a system that simply detects the pedals turning.
03
Less chain mess, more considered components
The carbon belt drive avoids the routine chain lubrication of a traditional chain,
while Tektro HD-M280 hydraulic disc brakes provide clearly identified stopping hardware.
Even the TFT display is integrated into the handlebars: thoughtful details rather than vague premium promises.
About the E-Go CarbonLite Folding E-Bike
The E-Go CarbonLite is built for riders who regard easy portability as an essential part of owning an electric bike, not an optional extra. Weighing just 14kg, its extensive carbon-fibre construction creates a folding bike that's considerably easier to handle than many heavier electric alternatives. Whether you're short of space at home, travelling in a motorhome or taking your bike on regular trips, the CarbonLite is designed to make storing and moving it simpler.
Lightweight doesn't mean giving up a rewarding ride. A 75Nm Star Union mid-drive motor provides substantial assistance for hills and everyday journeys, with a torque sensor that responds naturally to how hard you pedal. A low-maintenance carbon belt drive offers a cleaner, quieter alternative to a traditional chain, while hydraulic disc brakes, integrated lights and carbon-fibre wheels contribute to its thoughtfully engineered premium specification.
The CarbonLite is a bike for customers who place a particularly high value on low weight, refined assistance and straightforward ownership. Its compact Samsung seat-post battery reflects that emphasis on portability rather than maximum riding range. If you're happy to invest in engineering that makes the bike easier to live with before, during and after every journey, the CarbonLite makes a compelling case for choosing a premium folder.

Bikes are delivered boxed and around 80% assembled. Some final assembly, adjustment and safety checks will therefore be needed before your first ride. Depending on the model, this may include fitting or checking the handlebars, stem, pedals or wheels, checking tyre seating and pressures, adjusting brakes and gears, and checking spokes, fasteners and other safety-critical components.
Please follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your bike and make sure everything is correctly assembled, adjusted and secure before riding. If you're not confident carrying out the setup or checks yourself, we recommend asking a competent bicycle mechanic or suitably trained cycle professional to help.
